Prague

Faith Community Church in Prague is a joint venture of Uptown Church in Charlotte and World Harvest Mission. The first team members arrived in Prague in spring 2005, and Faith Community began meeting in April 2007.

Prague is the crown jewel of post-Christian Europe. 90% of Czechs consider themselves atheists, and there’s scarcely any Christian presence in the city. But there’s also a strong international presence, with a large and shifting ex-pat population. So there’s a great need, but also great potential for impacting Prague as well as other cities. Our vision is to plant a vibrant, gospel-centered, community-oriented church that will then plant other churches, so that the city will be changed by the power of the gospel.

I’ll be the assistant pastor of Faith Community under Phil Davis. One of my primary jobs will be leading worship, but I’ll also be preaching and teaching, and we will build relationships with and disciple as many people as we can.
